Denver Weekend Entertainment at The Brown Palace

Ah, we’ve made it to Friday!  Another glorious weekend sits before us, and what better way to enjoy it than by kicking back underneath a grand atrium listening to the smooth & sultry sounds of jazz piano?  Playing classic jazz, standards, and whatever else inspires them, John Kite’s Jazz+ will be filling the lobby of The Brown Palace with sweet melodies.  Join us on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. and sip wine, beer or cocktails with mouthwatering appetizers like our truffle-parmesan fries or calamari.

Afterwards, take a stroll through the lobby to Ship Tavern, where the entertainment will continue….this time, of a slightly more lively nature.  John will be keeping the songs a’playin’ and the good times rolling, as patrons can participate in an impromptu sing-a-long to favorites with a martini or signature cocktail in hand.

While Denver is a playground for those seeking entertainment on the weekends, good times can also be found without even leaving The Brown Palace.  So bring your song requests, order your favorite drink, relax and enjoy!  Happy Friday!

  1. We love jazz at the Brown Palace. It is so wonderful to go have a drink in the beautiful lobby and listen to the exceptional music by John Kite and the other musicians who join him. We’ve heard that Saturday jazz will end in February sometime. I hope you reconsider this decision and have jazz both Friday and Saturday nights. Since we live south of Denver, jazz on Saturday was a great time to come downtown early and then go have dinner either at the Brown or elsewhere in Denver.

    • Hi Kathy,

This is in fact true, our jazz trio will no longer be performing on Saturday evenings as of March 1, 2012. Fortunately, there will still be live music in the lobby however it will not be the jazz trio.

Please continue to join us for jazz on Friday evenings and on Saturdays for other live musical talent. We appreciate your support of The Brown and look forward to seeing you more.
