It All Starts Here: Planning your Meeting at The Brown Palace

While we have taken meetings at The Brown Palace up to the next level with our new customizable experiential add-on program, there are still questions about the basics of planning a meeting that come about. We sat down with Senior Sales Manager, Kimberly Forte, here at The Brown Palace to help you in planning your next meeting.

1. What are some tips you have for someone planning a meeting at The Brown Palace?  The Brown Palace Hotel is truly a unique landmark in the Mile High City. When planning your groups here, trust the staff and their longevity.  Many of our banquet captains, managers, sales team, catering team, community, etc have been here for manyyears and know the insides and outs of the hotel.  We can honestly tell you what will work within our space and what won’t.  Give your attendees time to experience the hotel.  There is so much history at the hotel that your guests may not be able to experience any other time.  We have a lot to offer at the hotel as well that you, as a planner may not be able toexperience any where else.  With the culinary creativity, your food and beverage functions will certainly be a WOW.  Ask the questions of your staff and we can deliver the magical events you are looking for!

2. What are some benefits of having a meeting at The Brown Palace? The hotel is not a typical “boxhotel”.  We cater to all types of groups and go above and beyond what is expected.  When ordering a continental breakfast, you will get the same great pastry’s you would get in a world renowned pastry shop… why, because we make them here everday on-site.  We have plenty of outlets for your guests to experience during their stay here.  So if your attendees would like to use their pre and post stays, there is plenty to do from the Spa to brunch and even history tours.  We can also incorporate anything directly into your meeting.  The Brown Palace is a one stop shop and we can make you look like the amazing planner you are.  There are also quite a few of promotions that happen within the Brown Palace that many hotels do not offer.  We are not a typical meeting place…. We create the experience for your attendees.

3. How far in advance should you start planning your meeting?  Depending on how large the meeting.  We would love to see meetings plan a year out but we certainly know the industry is not currently moving in this direction.  Any meeting is a great meeting!

4. What is your favorite meeting amenity at The Brown Palace? To me the hotel itself is an amenity because of the experience that is offered to the guests. Also don’t forget about the new meeting’s promotion “It All Starts Here” really makes the whole meeting experience for the guest memorable!
