DSC_0103thumbThis weekend marks the kickoff to the holiday season at the 26th annual Brown Palace Champagne Cascade. This year’s event will honor the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, Denver Area Council, offering guests several ways to support the organization for their continued service to the community.

Beginning at noon this Sunday, November 3rd, honored guest of The Brown Palace and The Boy Scouts of America, Colorado Congressman Mike Coffman will assist with pouring the champagne into the uppermost glass of the two-story, 6,000-glass pyramid. For prime viewing access on the Mezzanine level and unlimited champagne, beer, wine, gourmet hors d’oeuvres and desserts, a VIP experience is available for $100 with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Boy Scouts of America. Following the festivities guests can look forward to live jazz music and an afternoon of entertainment in The Brown Palace’s stunning open Atrium.  The event is open to the public to watch the famous champagne pour from the balconies of floors four through seven.  To make reservations for VIP viewing, please call (303) 294-3618 or visit www.brownpalace.com.

Guests joining the celebration can also partake in helping the Boy Scouts of America with their service by bringing non-perishable food items and donating to the “Scouting for Food” drive, an initiative that supports more than 100 food banks throughout the Denver Metro area.  Any guest donating a food item will be entered to win several Brown Palace experiences, including brunch in Ellyngton’s, lunch in Ship Tavern and an afternoon enjoying the hotel’s signature tea service.

With more than 2.7 million members and more than 1.1 million volunteers that make up the Boys Scouts of America, The Brown Palace is honored to partner with the organization as they give back to the community this winter season.

“The Boy Scouts of America are an important organization for the youth of our country,” said Marcel Pitton, Managing Director of The Brown Palace. “The Scouts help mold the youth into future leaders while also giving back to the community. We’re proud to support their efforts as they continue to educate and inspire our next generation,” he continued.
