24th Annual Champagne Cascade at The Brown Palace

Here at The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, we invite you to join us for our 24th Annual Champagne Cascade on Sunday, November 13th at noon.  At this iconic event, we will feature a master swordsman who will use an antique Napoleonic saber to sever the bottle necks of Moet & Chandon Champagne bottles.  Then, we will pour the bubbling drink into the uppermost glass of the 6,000-glass pyramid raising almost two stories in our beautiful Atrium Lobby.  Open to the public, we encourage those who are interested to come and view the spectacle from floors four through seven and watch the champagne flow.  We will also be donating 100% of the proceeds from our VIP ticket sales to Volunteers of America, as well as collecting children’s toys for the organization’s annual Christmas Basket program.  Attendees donating items will be automatically entered for a chance to win great prizes, including spa treatments, dining experiences and overnight stays.

Following the Cascade, we will be holding a contest for the public to guess the amount of teddy bears used to fill a window display at the hotel. The winner that guesses the closest number to the amount of bears in the display will be able to choose the children’s organization where the bears will be donated.

To get a sense of what this event is all about, check out the footage from last year’s Cascade in the video below….but we can promise you that seeing the overflowing champagne over thousands of glasses on video is absolutely nothing to viewing it in person!  We hope to see you there!

Denver Weekend Entertainment at The Brown Palace

Ah, we’ve made it to Friday!  Another glorious weekend sits before us, and what better way to enjoy it than by kicking back underneath a grand atrium listening to the smooth & sultry sounds of jazz piano?  Playing classic jazz, standards, and whatever else inspires them, John Kite’s Jazz+ will be filling the lobby of The Brown Palace with sweet melodies.  Join us on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. and sip wine, beer or cocktails with mouthwatering appetizers like our truffle-parmesan fries or calamari.

Afterwards, take a stroll through the lobby to Ship Tavern, where the entertainment will continue….this time, of a slightly more lively nature.  John will be keeping the songs a’playin’ and the good times rolling, as patrons can participate in an impromptu sing-a-long to favorites with a martini or signature cocktail in hand.

While Denver is a playground for those seeking entertainment on the weekends, good times can also be found without even leaving The Brown Palace.  So bring your song requests, order your favorite drink, relax and enjoy!  Happy Friday!
