From smooth tunes to upbeat numbers that will want to make you sing along, John Kite shares his gift of music with the guests of The Brown. For the past 24 years, he has been one of the resident pianists at The Brown Palace Hotel. Serving guests from all over the world, you can hear John playing in the Atrium lobby during afternoon tea on Thursdays and Fridays from 12 – 4 p.m. and evening cocktails in the lobby on Mondays and Tuesdays, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Looking for a late night drink? Come to Ship Tavern restaurant, Wednesday through Saturday nights, 8:30 – 11:30 p.m. for some great numbers

Denver is an action packed city, and this weekend, don’t miss the opportunity to cheer on the runners of the Colorado Colfax Marathon and Half Marathon. This non-profit race takes runners on an urban tour, leading participants on and off Colfax, through parks, neighborhoods and trails, with the grand front range as the backdrop. Both races kick off at 6:00am Sunday, May 15th and will be followed with an after party at City Park open to racers, friends, family and spectators….all are welcome. There will be cold beers and great music to celebrate a wonderful accomplishment.
