Prepare to be dazzled: The Downtown Denver Grand Illumination is set to return once again in 2017. As is tradition, these stunning lighting displays will be found at Larimer Square, the City and County Building, Denver Pavilions, Denver Union Station, Skyline Park, and the D&F Tower. The festivities formally kick off on November 24 at 6pm with an official countdown to “light the lights” at Denver Union Station.
If you’re unable to make it on November 24, don’t worry, because these brilliant downtown displays will be shining bright throughout the holiday season. An awe-inspiring sight for all ages, the Grand Illumination is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see many of the most prominent buildings in the Mile High City decorated with hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights. (We recommend tackling your holiday shopping while enjoying the sights.) And don’t forget your camera: These twinkling bulbs provide a beautiful backdrop for picture-perfect holiday memories.
Located in the center of Downtown Denver, The Brown Palace is the ideal starting point for checking out this spectacular seasonal event. Throw on a scarf, grab a hot beverage to-go from our on-site Coffee & Tea Co., and make your way to this truly unique winter attraction.
